studenti Fakulteta za odgojne i obrazovne znanosti, dislociranog studija u Slavonskome Brodu organiziraju 2. Međunarodnu studentsku konferenciju „Izazovi u odgoju i obrazovanju“ koja će se održati 15. i 16. svibnja 2015. godine na Fakultetu za odgojne i obrazovne znanosti, dislociranog studija u Slavonskome Brodu.

Ovo je još jedna mogućnost u kojoj možete dokazati svoje vještine pisanja, istraživanja i zanimanja za odgoj i obrazovanje. Svim će sudionicima biti osigurana potvrda o sudjelovanju na konferenciji.

Winter Kindergarten of Theoretical Physics

Kindergarten of Theoretical Physics

Students of the Physics Students' Society "Migacz" from the University of Wroclaw would like to invite students of your faculty to the Winter Kindergarten of Theoretical Physics. It is organized by our Society in partnership with the 51st Winter School of Theoretical Physics- an annual international scientific conference, organised by scientists from our University. Students will have an opportunity to share knowledge during students' lectures, short presentations and a poster session. There will also be guest lectures and workshops enhancing computational and computer skills, provided by scientists participating in the School.

The conference will be held from February 9 to March 14 in Ladek Zdroj, which is a well-known health and ski resort.

The Kindergarten has been already organised for last two years, and proved a great success, attracting over 60 students every year and containing good-quality lectures.

Aktualni njemačko-hrvatski odnosi u Europi

Term and Location: A PhD position is open at the Department for Computational Materials Design (Prof. J. Neugebauer) at the Max-Planck-Institut fuer Eisenforschung in Duesseldorf, Germany. This position is supported by a Stipend from the Cluster of Excellence RESOLV (Ruhr-Univerisity Bochum) and can be filled as soon as a suitable candidate has been identified.



M2 research internship followed by a 3-year PhD position

Ab Initio Molecular Dynamics Simulations of catalytic alumina oxides/liquid water interfaces.

We propose a M2 research internship (minimum 3 months) followed (upon agreement) by a PhD funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) on the subject of Solid-Liquid Interfaces at Molecular Scale for Catalysis. This research involves a consortium of theoreticians and experimentalists from Universities and IFP Energies Nouvelles (IFPEN)-Lyon.

Internship and PhD consist in DFT-based molecular dynamics simulations of catalytic alumina oxide/liquid water interfaces including organic additives and/or cobalt precursors in order to characterize the structure, dynamics, acidity constants, and vibrational spectroscopic properties of these complex interfaces at the atomic level. Methodologies employed here follow our previous works on oxide/liquid water interfaces (refs below).

Erasmus+ Program Europske unije za obrazovanje, osposobljavanje, mlade i sport za razdoblje 2014. - 2020.  - objava Natječaja za 2015. godinu

U službenom glasilu Europske unije (EAC/A04/2014) objavljen je Poziv za podnošenje prijedloga u okviru programa Erasmus+ za 2015. godinu.

U okviru predmetnog poziva, za Republiku Hrvatsku predviđeno više od 12,9 milijuna eura za decentralizirane projekte u području obrazovanja, osposobljavanja i mladih.

Computational Pathways to Higher Efficiency Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

Project title: “ Computational Pathways to Higher Efficiency Solid Oxide Fuel Cells.”

The properties of defects and interfaces in crystalline materials, and their theoretical description/prediction remains one of the b ig challenges in condensed matter physics. There are important questions to be answered both in the basic science and for industrial and environmental applications ranging from understanding new semiconductor devices, to developing new environmental techno logies and future energy production methods. This project will use advanced atomic scale quantum mechanical computer modelling (density functional theory – DFT) to study key microscopic processes metal/metal oxide interfaces, where the current limited ato mic level understanding hampers device development, and where computational prototyping of novel solutions can direct and speed experimental progress. These interfaces are vital to several current and developing green technologies, including green catalysi s, oxide based gas sensors and solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). The focus here will be on Cu/CeO2 (ceria) interfaces, which are under investigation for next generation SOFCs, though the understanding gained will also contribute to other industrially relevan t interface

HITEC FELLOWS 2014/2015: OPEN FOR APPLICATION

HITEC, the international graduate school in Energy and Climate Research is currently recruiting postgraduate students for the challenging fields of energy and climate research. Its faculty members, scientists and engineers, are leading experts in their fields. HITEC is a joint initiative between Forschungszentrum Jülich, the RWTH Aachen University, the Ruhr-University Bochum, the University of Cologne, the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, and the University of Wuppertal. HITEC is committed to scientific excellence, to an interdisciplinary and international research environment, to an accepting learning environment which embraces diversity, and aims to turn the Ph.D. students into well needed experts for academia and industry.

HITEC offers a 3-year training programme which accompanies the doctoral thesis: students can select from a variety of HITEC events, including lectures on topics or methods, hands-on training courses in the lab or professional skills training, such as scientific writing or presenting.
