  • Research and experimental development in natural sciences
  • Research and experimental development in technical and technological sciences

Higher education

Currently there are two studies on the Department : (prebologne) study of physics and technical education with computer science lasting for four years, and (bologne) undergraduate study of physics lasting for three years, which is followed by graduate study of physics and computer science lasting for two years.

The Department is equipped by modern computer science equipment and with the equipment for experimental and methodical exercises, and also with the library (shared with the Mathematics Department and Biology Department), whose stock of book is being constantly restored.

Research work

Besides higher education, the important component of Department is scientific research work in experimental and theoretical physics. The employees participate in several scientific research projects MZOŠ from environmental physics, nuclear physics, solid state physics, atomic and molecular physics, and statistical physics. These projects provide an opportunity of employing junior researchers, which ensures rejuvenation and the future of the Department.
